Rumba is a street dance originating from the Provinces of Havana and Matanzas. As a sexually charged Afro-Cuban dance, rumba was often suppressed and restricted because it was viewed as dangerous and lewd. Rumberos de Cuba are the finest exponents of rumba and will give dance classes backed by their own master percussionists.
