  Sc is correct the fiscal costs of treating a smoker with lung cancer are less than the tax they paid in, but the societal costs are higher as the loss of the deceased skills and the extra costs to the family that becomes a single parent family are higher.
  Oh and before we get on our high horses about smokers, bear in mind 80% of things people consult their GP over are lifestyle related ie they caused it them selves. exercise , diet, drinking, stress, preventable accidents, relationships. Fortunatly there is a cure , for some but not all ,according to the thread title, available in July for 5 days WOMAD.
  May be taken in tents ivly with dust or mud accompied by music and mirth,
  and drums.
  Side effects include children collecting glasses, drumming, the smell of fags and maybe weed, tripping over chairs in radio 3 , seeing famous people wandering around un hindered, out breaks of mass chilling in the heat. Smiles. Hearing music in your ears for days.

  oh yes, SC just seen the list there will many things to like, I'll ensure I get to feed the world this year- at the front. Thought about being a Talkng Book but when I walk thro the Red Gate I'm a customer ; all that work stuff floats away.
