heya all, I'm sadly having to watch the pennies this year to make the most of my WOMADTASTIC weekend. Are the La Di La Loos worth the pennies?
I never found any issues with the ones in the area but I did find the ones in the Campsites in the morning could be a bit stomach wrenching first thing in the morning, and couldnt hold it until they got cleaned. Any one used the posh ones before?

sould say Arena not area- duh!!

My mum paid for La Di Da Loos last year and she LOVED it! Said it was well worth the money. Only £8 for the weekend. HOWEVER . . . her only complaint was that they don't open early enough for that first morning wee! So if your only complaint with the regular toilets is first thing in the morning then maybe not . . . might end up paying and still having to use the others first thing!!
We bought our own toilet last year as we have a new tent with a utility room . . . it was sooooooooo awesome!! Not sure I'd like it so much if it was my job to empty it though! xxx

save your money and by some clothes pegs for the morning visit

.. or a bucket with a lid if there's room in your tent....

Are we back to the buiild your own loos thread I started last year yet?
The La de Das were near me last year so I paid the £8, BUT they were broken alot and the hand wash / elecric dryers did not work- most of the reason for paying the money. The issue they said was a broken pump, but it was never fixed for them all to work.

I used the posh (pay as go type) loos at Glastonbury one year when it was a real health risk going into the loos. However, when we went to Womad last in contrast I felt I could almost eat my lunch in a Womad loo. I guess whether it's worth it depends on how bad the alternative is.

yes Womad loos are visably cleaner and smell better than any others on the festival circuit.
30% of people do not wash their hands even when facilities are avaiable so I would ask Womad to provide push tap basins instead of the anti bact which would be better off being liquid soap if said basins were around.

For goodness sake, its not a proper festival without poo and mud! Mind you, I have been known to take my own portaloo and tent - do you think people would pay me a £ to plop?

Ha, a post after my own heart since I suffer from IBS! I paid to use the Ladidaa last year and it wasn't worth it - especially, as has been said before, they didn't open until 9.00 a.m. and hand-washing facilities all broken. They did have chairs and tables with mirrors, but I'm way beyond needing that! No problem with Womad loos anywhere - just the early morning queues...
