I listened to the Archers last night and Alan isn't as harsh as it first appeared, so maybe this forum isn't as it appears to MT.....or is he/she just trying to create debate? Hmmmm, food for thought....and Kanda Bongo Man would be fab Christopher.
Redleg, if the forum were better and HAD AN EDIT FACILITY maybe more people would use it?

Well we have bought tickets now so we are going for sure now come rain or shine ,just not sure about the weather now! or is that for another thread ? we have experienced a WOMUD before and it did rain like this a lot before that one too but i think it was the thursday when it rained so so much that put the skids on that festival who can ever forget that one.

Yeah, I remember that one, the first Charlton Park Womud. Torrential rain started as we were coming down the motorway ...but we had fun nonetheless. I can remember standing by the Siam tent placing bets on who would be the next poor b***er in the slow moving crowds to fall over next. Mean? Yeah, but it was funny.
RIP my lovely brother RedRob (18th May 1957 - 18th July 2011), what great festival times we had.

ps, we helped several people up and warned quite a few, so we were not as callous as I made it sound

Womud was a great Festival, dreadful layout, no where to camp, gales on the way to it. Titanic tent, by Sunday Am it had sunk, we left then, but yes loved it.
PD glad you have postive memories of your Brother, scariliy for me same age to within a few months as me.

Hi Purpledawn - I am a Sunday Omnibus (funky theme) regular - so he remains harsh at the moment....Womud was amazing - A good Peter Gabriel set - (I thought the last one was boring), Steel Pulse, Calexico,
Seth Lakeman and CJ Chenier all brilliant and th3 Womad staff worked tirelessly to keep the thing going in atrocious conditions - me and my tribe (wife and 5 kids) all remember it fondly - I think that they need to pull their fingers out though this year to add a couple acts worthy of "30th year" status - Love Juju and Spiro though....

Hi PD - Not sure if an edit facility would make that much difference - you'll just have to perfect your typing skills like me!! In any event I think this forum is distinctly different from other forums with no social irritants or silliness for the sake of it

I like social irritants and sillyness

PD thats because of where you work
