. . . I bet that Wiltshire police are having to grab £££ wherever they can thanks to our stinking-shit-of-a-non-elected-government's cuts. . . I'm sure that policing festivals is a nice little earner for police forces.

Yes the cost of ever copper is hundreds per day & with everyone ( plutocrats excepted) feeling the pitch Womad numbers may be down so why pay for say drugs officers when they only siezed £150 of drugs in total . Its a family friendly event with customers so old they need chairs to sit on , myself included sometimes, so perhaps SAGA reps instead of Police could be a better choice

Agree with Mr Beef,
A bit perturbed by the actions of Wiltshire Police on this review business. A bit of a dirty trick to pull just before this year's event isn't it? I'm not sure if emails in support of the festival will make much difference at this late stage. Committee reports will have been prepared ages ago as the hearing is on Monday. If people do email I think its a good idea to point out that people do support Malmesbury businesses as well as the festival. I have friends who spend a few days before and sometimes after Womad camping and doing their shopping in Malmesbury. Hmmm, I wonder if Rivermead want a festival back?

I love a good toff!! xxx

Where the f*** is my last posting? Censorship?

No censorship here,

Sorry - I didn’t click the button - Forgotton original response - now thinking.

No prob

My concern over policing has nothing to do with drugs but other threats. It is not nice chasing some bastard out of your tent in the middle of the night as I have done at Womad Reading. More importantly d my daughter (breast-fed at Womad at 2 months) will now be working as an Oxfam Steward so I want real police! (I’m crying a bit now!)
