DakhaBrakha, we were passing and stopped to listen and it ended up being the highlight for me (though we didn't see as many acts this year as previous years - but lots of downtime, and lots of dancing in the sanfran). Another highlight was Jimmy Cliff - a magic evening.

Biscuithead & the Biscuit Badgers! They were on at Molly's Bar and were the most amusing act all weekend. Love love love!

Disraeli & the small gods - thanks to Mags, PH & Jim!

Manganiyar Seduction was unbelievable. The great music accompained by the visual "seduction". Loved them

No major shocks, Jupiter & Okwess were the best by a mile. Blick Bassy was amazing. Femi Kuti was good but disappointed he didn't play Water No Get Enemy like every other time I have seen him. Robertos plantos, Mangina Seduction, Hollie Cooke, Carlou D, Owiny Sigoma, Revere, Portico, Hugh Maskela, Kareyce Fotso, Keb Mo were all very good. Biggest suprise was maybe Jimmy Cliff - better than ever before & LKJ - he was good but Dennis & Band were Super!

Ane Brun and Chet Nuneta.....amazing voices which blew my mind!

I can't believe no-one's mentioned them on this thread yet (maybe I was alone in my prior ignorance of them) but I was utterly enthralled by a tidal wave of wonderment provided by the Portico Quartet in the Big Red Tent....!! Never heard anything quite like it!

Beanstew - As yet I have nothing but where would you recommend I start with Ane Brun (careful now)?

Del wanted to see Ane Brun but Cal had other idea's
however when we were leaving WOMAD we heard a track on radio WOMAD and both loved it, it the came from changing of the seasons so we'll be start from there

My high points
Kimmo Pojonen; (as recommended by CnD pre Womad Thx)
Raghu Dixit
Manganiyar Seduction
Portico Quartet
Ane Brun (you missed a good one CnD)
& a band on at Molly's bar on Thursday night haven't got a clue what their called but they did a song for Prince Harry (I'm the King of the gingers....)
