WOMAD

  Hi all,
  We did loved the festival this year! Lots of great numbers, best of them Indian 'red lights' performance, a bit of disappointment with ex-Who member on the last evening but you can't have it all.
  But I must tell you about the probelm we've had with PodPads: we have booked the standard PodPad , when we arrived we discovered that it is too tiny for us - you could not stand up inside! and the state of repair is worse that of my garden shed. So we asked to chaneg to BellePad= tall white yurt, and we have been changed; the Bellpad was very nice for people who like tents - big and high space inside. So far so good. However we have paid £375 for the PodPad but the BellPad only costs £300, so we asked for a refund and this was refused.
  We have not vlocked the use of a PodPad for anyone as the majority of PodPads stayed empty through the festival, and there were few empty BellePads as well. We are not happy with this, as the difference is £75.

  The PodPad was available, not WOMAD's fault you didn't use it!
  You got what you wanted, be grateful they didn't charge you more

  This has nothing to do with WOMAD, its to dow ith PodPads company.

  you are right it is nothing to do with Womad so I suggest contacting Podpads direct. They might refund but would not be obliged to do so. good luck for next year

  not in a tent YM..for all kinds of reasons but defo not posh..and neither were the family next to me wiht an autistic boy or the woman with a bad back..people use this camping area for all kinds of reasons. I think tolerance of people's differences is part of the Womad spirit.

  I agree. What do you stay in? I think we're having a tipi or yurt for next year, just because for one year only on the year of my wedding I would like to not have the Thursday stress of getting set up and I would like to be away from my kids!! I do love them . .. but we're on honeymoon!! xxx
