  Small point but if the Olympics are short of Private security to the tune of 3,500 staff, where is Womad planning to get theirs from at short notice? Sounds like it will be the Police................maybe Shell could help? They have a "strong arm wing" ;-)

  Sounds like return of pop music to Womad.......but they were one of my fave bands....do do do da da da, message in a bottle, fragile, etc and Stu's drumming was ace

  To be security at the Olympics the firm and the individual have to undergo security checks by the Police/ others and some firms dont want all the hassle so there will be plenty of security firms to choose from.
  BTW any one attending the Olympics has to undergo aircraft standard checks, inc the size of bag, no liquids/ sharps rule, scanners etc. But you are allowed an empty plastic bottle to fill up once inside and you can have breakfast at the biggest McDonalds in the world and drink Coke once inside. OR you could walk in to Womad have a wristband put on you and eat at somewhere like Manic Organic. Tough choice eh?
