WOMAD

  I would like to know what the Womad Festival goers think of SHELL OIL sponsoring their festival.

  I think it's a disgrace - why does WOMAD want to associate with this company? Their legacy in Nigeria is an environmental and social diaster.

  I feel WOAMD are making a big mistake here - there are quite a few acts from Nigeria - I wonder how they feel to see the SHELL logo splashed all around.

  ScrummyMummy, Mrs SC agrees with you, I love it but she's in the "that's um nice" camp. Mind you she doesn't like the Beatles, ELO or Stevie Wonder or anything "middle of the road". But hey! I'm gonna see him. I'm of course not saying that The Beatles or Stevie Wonder are middle of the road but.............Shall I stop digging?

  just seen that Paul Simon is playing a London outdoor gig with Ladysmith Black Mombassa the week before Womad . Surely if they are over here then its a good chance they will be helping us all celebrate our w omad anniversary ! If it happens it will be pretty special

  Would LOVE to see Ladysmith Black Mombassa! . . .
  I found Frank Yamma just a bit blah . . . especially after everyone had raved about him! His voice is nothing to write home about . . . just um nice . . . as Mrs. S.C. says! And I kept expecting the song to go somewhere, but it just didn't . . .
  I do however LOVE Stevie Wonder. x
