  Needles to say, travelling light didn't happen again . . ... but luckily I really enjoy the walk to/from the garden centre, the bus and three busy trains it takes us to/from womad - you car drivers don't know what you're missing!

  I'm converted to going by train now, this means: Bus, train, tube, train, bus, and back again. DT perhaps you could get a fisherman's trolley like mine, will cut down on trips to the car.

  Had a fab time this year, but didn't shower at all as couldn't face the queues, so agree with others about bringing back the communal showers. We camped roughly in the same place as last year, and Molly's bar was much much louder this year, but it didn't seem to bother any of our crowd tooo much (probably because most of them were there till closing..).

  I'd like the 10p glass deposit scheme back, the kids loved it, and I never found it too intrusive. Better than getting shards of broken plastic every time you sat down.

  There seemed to be a big clampdown on bringing stuff into the arena, which is a shame as it makes it so much more expensive. I spent more in the bars, but then didn't buy any t-shirts, music or other stuff this year. Didn't buy a programme either, and I just went with the flow.

  For the first year ever I didn't go for a shower because I could see the queues were ridiculously long. The powers that be should really re-instate the communals for those that prefer them, while also keeping a few cubicles for the shyer folk.
  Molly's Bar seemed very loud on the Thursday night and we had trouble getting to sleep because of it, but it wasn't a problem after that. Either the wind had changed direction or the volume had been turned down I think.
  The ordinary loos were superb...the best I have ever encountered and the staff deserve a medal for keeping them so clean. Who needed La-Di-Das??
  I didn't experience a 'stand out' moment musically, but I thoroughly enjoyed everything I stayed to listen to.
  In my opinion, Womad is evolving to attract a more affluent clientelle.
  As long as it doesn't price me out of attending, that's ok. I do look back on the old days with extreme fondness, but equally look forward to the years to come.

  Use the showers at 1am- not busy at all.
  I need to down size my outfit, you saw the size of that tent Bloohair, I found Lord Lucan in one corner!
  Alcohol needs a disguise, Beanstew used a juice bottle to get stuff in., or you could preload in the campsite like the teenagers do before clubbing.

  Aside from a few moans about the wigwams and the sound in Big Red and other isolated issues everyone seems to agree on balance Womad got it right; it was a good festival that most found enjoyable

  Music fantastic; Food stalls great selection; Toilets were best ever! Very clean throughout weekend.
  Showers - prefer communal ones - as less queuing and you dont step out from your shower into sea of mud! :- l
  Camp-site NOT appropriate place for late night music. Not only is the music itself disruptive for people getting to sleep, but it sends out a signal to campers that it is OK to be noisy on the camp-site into the early hours! What happened to the rule of no drumming etc after midnight?
  Suggestion: Divide the camp-site into clearly - designated noisy and quiet zones!
