So we've had a breakfast thread!! Now I'd like to know what you're favourite dinners are!!
I'm specifically interested in where I can get a good wholesome meal . . . what I would call a 'proper' dinner . . . for my girls, so nothing too spicy . . . I'm so excited this year that my youngest will be one so I don't have to fanny around with jars n baby milk!! xxx
I discovered Malinkey's Travelling Restaurant in 2010 which had a great menu for my girls, but only had one meal from there . . . Hungarian Goulash . . . was awesome! . . . But they weren't there in 2011!! xx

Churros!!! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm the Fajita Stall last year was scrummy. And my mum really liked the Pieminster one, but not really in the Womad spirit!

we always cook a meal on the Thursday evening (eat out the rest of WOMAD)
last year it was mushroom risotto (it was labour of love over an hour from prep to plate!) but this year we'll do something simple like couscous (cook off a few veggies) add boiling water to well spiced couscous then mix it all together easy quick and very tasty

Lol @ the idea of churros as a nutricious meal NGP!! Lol!! They are sooooooooo good though!! I like the fajita's too. Didn't see the Pieminster one, but that might be an idea for the girls. There was a Rotiserrie Chicken stall last year which was delicious, but was literally like half a chicken with potatoes n no veg!! Perfect for me, but the girls need their 5 a day!!! Last year as well we found a delicious North African stall and had a dish called Lamb Bourek . . . OMG . . . it was amazing . . . spiced lamb patty n goats cheese wrapped in filo pastry with a tomato and onion sauce to accompany and salad . . . delish!!!! I always try to re-create my favourite womad meals when I get home, but never found a recipe for that one! xxx I also love that french stall that does the posh sausage and mash.
If anyone can recommend a good carribean stall would really appreciate . . . my oh is Jamaican but has only ever had bad curry goat n rice n peas from Womad :( xxx
I don't like the idea of cooking generally at Womad as it is my holiday . . . but the Thursday night might be an idea actually C n D . . . it's always a job to find stuff open after you've finished pitching the tent when you REALLY need to eat!! Might google camping meals!! xxx

Jerk Chicken and Curry goat from the Jamaican place are great, but spicey so probably not much use for your girls.

There are usually 3 Jamaican stalls, but oh is always unlucky with the one he picks . . . where do you get yours JayCee?? xxx

Curry goat - yummy yum yum. I'm gonna sample all of them. I used to cook but s*d that for a game this year. The Hxn posse usually go for Goan fish curry but I can't remember the name of the stall. Those shiny things always distract me as soon as I've eaten

Oh yeah, I take cereal bars/chocolate for during/after tent pitching.

SM I can't remember names!
I think last year it was near the big stage.
big help lol

On stall used to be the Carribean Hut.......................yummy and plantains for pudding
