Oh shit, never been to Chippenham Station. Isn't there a disabled exit? Bum, even more anxious now.

Just checked and there is a ramp, see here

Do you know which platform trains from Bristol Temple Meads stop at?

It was so much easier to get to Rivermead
Why aren't there National Express Coaches any more? There were in 2007 and 2008. Hmm, the corporate machine is more interested in catering for people who can afford park and camp and glamping. Grrrrr

No one is answering so I'm going to ring Chippenham Station.

PD, I'm going to Chippenham station, from Paddington having crossed London from Liverpool St. I've got that big fisherman's trolley you suggested to me - it's bigger than I expected! Gosh, I'm training up my arm muscles, they are nearly at Popeye proportions. So ifthere's a ramp at Chippenham Station, it will be a relief.
Pheww!

I find my stuff weighs twice as much as anyone else's, but I don't take any more stuff than anyone else. It has been pointed out that since putting on a few pounds/stone each garment has twice as much cloth as it used too!!! ;-) may helium balloons on the rucksack?

Ah, bring on the helium balloons! I'll need a lot of 'em!

Hello again, Bloohair I've been to loads of festivals and travelled many miles via buses and trains with a vairiety of trolleys, so I don't know why I was so worried, except that I'm older now and have knees and a back that can't take the strain as easily as before. Anyway, I have sussed out that the train from Bristol comes into platform 2 at Chippenham and there is a crossing called 'Barrow Crossing'. If you can't manage stairs you should be able to ask for help, they should be able to get you across, trolley and all. I was going to ring them but the information on Cross Country and First Great Western website answered my questions. Good luck all you trolley haulers.

Brilliant, barrow crossing, I'll go for that. By the time I've bumped the trolley up and over tube line at Liverpool St, then up the steps at Paddington, Chippenham steps will be good to miss out. That last slog uphill onto site after Meadow Camping is a killer, so I'll have a bit of stem left for that.
