  No, I wouldn't queue for that long and you didn't have to if you went to the communals in the early evening.
  The only year I queued every morning to shower and wash my hair was in 2000 when my romance was brand new! I wasn't brave enough to go communal but I still wanted to look my best at all times!! Ha ha, that had worn off by 2001!!

  I take a bucket, it has uses like a washing up bowl but as it has a handle is easier to transport the water.
  And is very useful for a standing flannel wash, in nice cold water.

  I will even offer to scrub your back.

  We have a giant bowl we use for the same purpose. Is even big enough to bath the baby in. No cold water for us though! A boiled kettle! x

  Got a new spirit stove for fathers day.
  Unfortunately it is only a one/two man stove, so the kettle is only two cup size or one big mug size.
  So it would take quite a while to generate sufficient warm water to wash.

  It will be so hot anyway I’ll need cooling down ;-)
