  Gosh, you busy lot! Had a lay in followed by home made traditional spiced buns straight from the oven - last rising ovenight - absolutely wonderful! Then out by the river - kingfisher, heron, buzzard, wrens a plenty, robins, blackbirds, squirrels, but again, Eric not at home on the belfrey. Took broomstick and log tables and mass of toes and practiced windy river whooshing - much better with feeling restored to the extremeties and lovely to be alongside a kingfisher!

  Great Tit Watch - Titty returned to the nest 18:00 yesterday evening and immediately commenced her tidying and dancing for joy and Womadness. She was joined at 18.30 by Titan who had popped in to give her a tasty worm - the first time we've seen them in the nest together - very exciting! We thought incubation may have begun and thought this would be the start of the twelve days until hatching. This morning though, neither bird was on the nest, but eight clearly identifiable eggs were visible with more hazy orbs underneath which may or may not be more eggs. Then Titty came back and arranged feather scatter cushions, and then Titan(hurrah) popped in and fed her another juicy worm and flew off again without stopping for a coffee and a chat. It is all very exciting!

  I like Dave - he's a good egg.. really looking forward to rivier flying in the moonlight - will stra[p a couple of hot water bottles on and adjust the calculations to take extra mass and weight in to account

  ANYWAY

  We've got the low flying water down to a tee (mind you Del is now on his second pair of water wings "I blame all the pretty colours under the water")

  Now for the toe dipping!

  Davie has warned us not to dip our toes to deep out we'll catch a crab and end up in the water and also reminded us to keep our speed up due to extra drag we'll encounter. He did explain the physics of it all but we could begin to repeat it.

  Still no sign of Gordy, hold on what that in the sky?

  Is it a bird?

  is it a plane?

  No it's Gordy and the camels flying in close formation!

  As one then glide down toward the water and fly inches from is surface, then in perfect unison they dip the toes/claws of there left feet/talon into the water then retract them and drip their toes/claws of there right feet/talon into the water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Gordy then does a barrel roll and the shoots off into he sky, the camel do a half barrel roll and dip their humps into the water before completing there barrel role and then climbing into the sky to join Gordy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  What an amazing sight!!!!!
