  I heard a horrible rumour over the weekend that Shell will be sponsoring Womad this year. Please tell me this is nonsense!

  Hi Tim, The situation is that one of the sponsors of Womad New Zealand is Shell. Apparently it has been going on for around 8 years so I gather from the threads. Womad defend this by saying that they are a good and important employer in NZ. Not sure what threads you will want to look at but there are a couple with "Shell" in the title and another title starting "28th Womad........." which tended to be the thread used if you wanted to put a point across to Womad organisors or other festival goers. As you can probably tell from SM's response there are some very strong opinions around on some of the subjects especially the question of Shell. Good luck & enjoy Womad

  Thanks for giving such a precise answer SC. I would gladly go over old ground for a newbie as its not fair if they don't know the whole story. That's one of the things that I found difficult when I came back here after a break of around 18 months or so. I'm not being rude so don't anyone take offence, but everyone seemed to know what they were talking about and threads were familiar to them, but I felt lost and left out. I hope you find the information you are looking for Tim and welcome to the forum
