  Went to Malmesbury a couple of times over the festival weekend and what a smashing welcoming bunch they were there. The shops seemed very happy to have the festival and if I'd have had a vehicle I'd have bought most of the stock in the charity shops. So thanks Malmesbury for adding to a lovely weekend and I hope your carnival went well

  Seconded.
  I haven't been into the town the lst few times but when I did previously I also found it very welcoming.
  I also found possibly the best coffee cake in Southern England.
