so far we've had 3 or hail showers, the odd flake of snow dark clouds and bright sunshine all with a biting north wind.
to keep warm on the outside we visited the floral hall and on the inside with a visit to the black isle brewery

- *robe and towel clad, straight from hot shower - dam construction is a bit of a stinky activity, but great fun, joins Jambo at the galley long table for chilli chocolate. A robe and towel clad Alan pads into the galley and gives clear signals that he would like something warming in his bowl now, please too* Nice tail, Jambo - ooo red nighty!
Cal N Del, lots of weather! The floral hall looks lovely and worth a visit in July too for the bugs and tiny beasties! And yes, were there any cakes?! Is that Del at the brewery - should I put the sticker on my monitor now?! I know - too much hair. Hair is so overrated

Today's plans are
Inverness farmers market (old habits)
Glen Ord distillery
A long walk somewhere (possibly to see a waterfall or forest trail)
and this evening
eat goodies from farmers market and try not to drink too much of the beer and whisky we've will have bought
We're off to Durness tomorrow and we're hoping Gordy and Maggie will join us there.
Dam building............................ ahhhhh that takes us back, in the summer of 1976 Del helped build a dam that ran through the village he living in which created a mini swimming pool. Cal use to make dams in the Lickey woods on the south side of Birmingham too.
Right, time to get the porridge on.

have a fab time....sorry to miss your dam building skills ..SS and I are novices..you should see the untidy structure we built yesterday..but looks like it's holding, later it's kingfisher perches..
I'm on a bluebell woods and nightingale expedition today..now where did pooh put the huney?
