....camels caving with.......hump lanterns.......love it! Well, here's my light sabre and solar powered christmas lights - oh, maybe not; though they would look lovely! - so the firefly and glow worms get to go to the Brecon Beacons too! - or we could strap several head torches round each hump.......-)

Ducks always sound to me as if they are laughing - happy sound!
River here was so very high and rushing, I don't see how the kingfisher would catch a fish - most of his perches submerged and water so fast and churned up with mud........blackbirds and hedgehogs should be ok with the worms and slugs (provided not loaded up with slug pellets), but not so many insects on rainy days... I'm suddenly out of fat balls; jackdaws and starlings have polished off the lot! *adds to list* Great tits, green finches, gold finches, dunnocks, robins, bluetits and pigeons all seem to be ok - their food being eaten at the usual rate
No rain yet today - everything green showing up in fabulous relief against the grey sky - hurrah for spring!

I am a little concerned for the worms and moles..all homes flooded out.
Ok SS we have a wonderful Bank holiday project!..on with your welding helmet..for protection, not welding....down to the river and start building dams to slow the water and kingfisher perches..you know you want to..
Any other projects for the weekend? (duck houses?)

He'd better take a snorkel..or better still a diving tank...
nah...I think he'll head for the nearest hostelry..lots of beers to try.... I haven't been to the reed beds..but if the meadow across the road is anything to go by they'll be over flowing, apparently we had a month of rain in twelve hours Tuesday into Wednesday...may venture to bluebell woods tomorrow, my cherry tree blossom looks very sad - needs sun to come out!

Hey, Alan, how about you find us some lovely long sticks? *snuzzy wuffly scruffly cuddles and tummy scratches and hugs* run, run run, run, run, leap, sploosh!
Check - wet gear on , sharpen teeth.......check rudder tail working and splooosh...... *gasp* brrrrrrrrrr! dam, this is cold! swims up and checks for natural features in the riverbank which would give a good hold for the first timbers.....
