Great Tit Watch:
Thought I counted seven chicks this morning, though Titty was sitting on them and kept bundling them up between feeding them food delivered by Titan. Still difficult to distinguish heads from bums (though beaks are generally a good differentiator) and the tiny featherless legs and wings get everywhere! It seems the the thing to do, from observing Titty, is to keep them as tightly packed as possible; preferably in one big ball, and then trample them, sit on them and shake your tail feathers!

Jambo, here's hoping your week of exploration and adventure has been so much more cheerful than the weather. When you arrive back home, you'l find your garden at least a foot higher, I would think:)

Yay!!! back..thanks SS..only got slightly trained on..the torrential stuff arrived 2 minutes after we got to the end of the coastal path..we had worked outt he bus came in 10 mimnutes, took one look at the curtain of rain heading our way.and.....jumped into the handy 'phone box!! 5 minutes earlier and we'd have been in the middle of a flat exposed beach!!
Had a wonderful time, saw spectacular scenery..and hopefully come back with stronger legs! my friend's newly minted phrase for rating scale,, on viewing the almost vertical slope we were about the walk/scramble/cling to ..."Holy Moley!!"
now finished the Jurassic part of the South West coast path I am well and truly hooked..just ordered 22 other trail guides..only about 500+ more miles to go!!!..so that's me sorted for the next decade or so!!!
SO much to catch up on ..thread titwatch and the newly announced lineup..exciting!!!!!

i have a concern. I'm supposed to be getting married the day before Womad 2013. But the countdown has the wedding at 460 days n Womad CP 2013 at 463?
