Now that "Slumdog Millionaire" has picked up a few golden statuettes, does it mean the world might be ready for more new world stories on a mass scale and specifically African cinema and African stories. Even though Tsotsi won last year, where are the other African Films and filmakers with modern Afrikan stories? Will Afikans keep on allowing international film makers and producers to tell their stories or will we finally get our sh*t together and rise to the occasion. What gives. Look at what Peter Gabriel has done for World music and especially Afrikan artist. Thank you Peter for your vision and initiative. What is it with us Afrikans that we just can't seem to get it together?
