Ooooooooo Holly Cook. Love her album and the recent Dub version. Finally some more reggae

See! They listened! x

This year's line up is just not doing it for me. . . I'm sure there will be some great music and I know the greatest pleasure usually comes from the unexpected at womad, and so I don't like watching youtube videos to try to see what I'll like. . .but I do need something to draw me in. . . but after almost 20 womad festivals, this line up is just not inspiring me to go. . . anyone else feel the same?

Some great artists in the line up this year, esp looking forward to:
Femi Kuti
Jupiter & Okwess
Blick Bassy
Keb Mo
Carlou D
Nuba Nour
Lions of Africa
Hugh Masakela
Narasirato
Boubacar Traore
Buena Vista Social Club
& of course Rob & Juju.
As usual, Just worried about what will clash

There is nothing that is a 'must see' for me except Mr Plant! I'm hoping that Mr Plant's band will produce something unexpected and the non musical aspects will swing it. I did see that Holly Cook vid, I was impressed with her.
I thought 2010 was amazing but didnt expect it to be so dont give up hope Mr Beef.
I will get a ticket but have not done so yet.

Portico Quartet is on my must see

My must see's are Narasirato, Sensational Space Shifters, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Jimmy Cliff, Ben l'Oncle Soul, Femi Kuti and Gurrumul . . . and I have 27 wanna see's!! xxx

I don't really care who I see or don't see, it will all be shiny and I'm very easily distracted.Lets face it wherever you go you can hear music anyway

Suddenly Womad has cred with my youngest daughter because Patrick Wolfe is playing,

Must sees for me so far:
Alaev Family
Jimmy Cliff
Femi Kuti
LoJo
Probably sees:
Robert Plant
Deolinda
But i'm expecting to hear some stuff i'd never heard of before that blows me away. That's what usually happens at WOMAD.
