  Had a great weekend as usual but couldn't help feeling the lineup Saturday night left a lot to be desired. I saw some great bands during the day that in hindsight would have gone down well in an evening slot but the evenkng lineup had me heading formy bed early.

  Any thoughts?

  Completely agree. We also went back to our tent early and I know of many others who did the same. As you say, the day time line-up was very strong and the choice of saturday night headliner was a strange one in my opinion, especially when you remember that last year's saturday headliner was Baaba Maal. Still everyone has different tastes and they have to cater for everyone.

  I think that losing 3 artists from the original line-up, all of them due to appear on Saturday, really showed on the day/night. Still, the day held a couple of Cameroon gems in Kareyce Fotso and Blick Bassy

  What?! You serious?? Cornershop were there Saturday night....!?!! They were superb!! So were Ska Cubano....!!?!? I didn't catch Khaled but heard he did OK....!!??! ;-)

  Cornershop were like a pub band. Sounded like they have spent years trying to re-write their only hit & absolutely no stage prescence at all. Quiet embarrassing but the were a stand in so big up for them filling a slot. Saturday was the low point, but totally agree about the Cameroon artists. Both sublime. Friday & Sunday were great!!!

  I'm a big, big fan of Cornershop. Tjinder Singh is a true genius in my book but I thought they were a massive disappointment. I don't think it was their fault as much as it was the sound systems. His vocals were distorting something rotten, as was everything else.

  Womad should get them back and give them a decent sound system as compensation.

  I really enjoyed Khaled, but thought Femi Kuti was better the last time I saw him (can't remember which year it was...)

  Balkan Beat Box would have been better on Saturday night . I was really disappointed with Khaled
