Thank you for the help, peops.
Gurdybloke, were you in the Meadow? I got the impression that was nearer to Molly's Bar. Getting away early on Monday morning would be ok for us as we have a long journey home. Hope your wife's knee is as good as new soon.

Molly's Bar was very noisy on the Thursday night but it didn't keep us awake for long! You could see it from P&C. After that it didn't seem as loud, but earplugs could be a good idea for next year. Thanks Gurdybloke.

No-one should ever go to a festival without earplugs - or gaffa tape

Maybe that's why there are such differing opinions about the sound at the BRT! The ear-plugged and the non-ear-plugged?!
I shall get some!

Trouble is, I was wearing earplugs the year my tent got robbed (whilst I was blissfully asleep) on the notorious Thursday night, the last year at Reading.
I'd be more careful with my moolah now and in any case CP's is much freer from crime.

I doubt if you'll have problems like that in the P&C Mcgrooger - It all seems pretty civilised with plently of families around, though we did need to use the gaffer tape this year, due to yours truly not erecting the tent properly....
Thanks for the thoughts about my wife's knee - We're hoping she'll get an appointment soon, though is presently managing with copious amounts of pankillers and support stockings!
According to the site plan the Meadow P&C is further away from the arena than the P&C site (near the campervans), so if the sounds from Molly's Bar was being heard there it must have been noisy!

Come and camp with us McG, we have lovely cups of tea in the morning, discussions of who we're going to see, sound solid sleeps, wee music sessions, (you can bring your Strat) we use the standard issue bogs and standard issue camping( not in family field) with no extra surcharges and it's all fantastic. No elitism for us.

The strat's a bit quiet without the Fender amp! I could bring one of my extensive collection of melodeons but not sure the neighbours would appreciate it!
(On the other hand it might get drowned out by your extensive collection of percussion insturments.) P&C's sounding good to me, old bean.

Hey Retrac, who are you calling elitist!!
I would far rather spend the £50 on food and drink, but I am decrepid, not elitist!

Me too Jax, the food is part of the whole thing for us and the odd beer too. After all it's our main summer hol. Beats cruising so I hear.
