The Zawose Family please.
One of my highlights of 2007.

Just saw them at Nottingham Riverside Festival. Absolutely Bloomin' Marvellous.

Manu Chao, most definitely - if you've heard of him, you'll know it makes sense!
And I like the idea of Burning Spear; and Shakira...?

hayseed dixie

Raymond Redfeather, i had the luck to see him perform a few years ago at a beltaine festival. he carves the most beautiful native indian flutes to look at and to hear them played. and he also is an excellant musician.
i would love to see him play live again, his cd is great.

i think maybe we should book people who have broadened world music horizons . look no further than paul simon ,ry cooder ( with flaco jiminez ) also jah wobble and nithin sawney . good reggae is as good as it gets at festivals and and burning spear is the best i,ve seen . I,d like to see a band like madness or the specials to liven it up and what about the bees . Looking back a special womad performers over the last few years maybe get dj shantel and eugenio bennato back . Lovedboth cajun bands this year so more of that

Oh and don't forget Khaled

I think Eliades Ochoa has to be there.. Paul Simon is an interesting idea. Can we have Salif Keita back? Loved him last year.
Manu Chao too.

Cherry Ghost - following on from the brilliant I Am Kloot This Year
45 - Funk n' Soul Japanese styleeeee :) :)
