There's one of the greats we've never had at Womad - Gilberto Gil. He played in the UK a couple of years ago, so it shouldn't be impossible.
And he's not getting any younger.
DOHL FOUNDATION (WITH JONNY KELSI DISAPPOINTING WITHOUT)
I applaud the suggestion of bringing back the Whirlygig stage, popping it in the world of wellbeing or by mollys bar with late night comedy! I defintiely think that for the 30th we need the diversity of genres not just the diversity of music.....womad always gets the diversity of music near on perfect (bit dub/regg heavy though this year)
CAN I SUGGEST PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEEEEEEEE GET LIOR BACK ON THE WOMAD STAGE!!
Has anyone mentioned Manu Chao yet?
No? I'll nominate Mano Chao then. What about Billy Bragg?

..... or Misty in Roots, who were fab last time up at Rivermead. Or, failing these, ......lots of quality artists from around the world who I haven't seen or heard before, because that's what gives me the biggest buzz of all, 'discovering' new music
