There's one of the greats we've never had at Womad - Gilberto Gil. He played in the UK a couple of years ago, so it shouldn't be impossible.
And he's not getting any younger.

I applaud the suggestion of bringing back the Whirlygig stage, popping it in the world of wellbeing or by mollys bar with late night comedy! I defintiely think that for the 30th we need the diversity of genres not just the diversity of music.....womad always gets the diversity of music near on perfect (bit dub/regg heavy though this year)
