Hugh Masekela, Abdullah Ibrahim, Juan Luis Guerra & 440, Irekere, Los Van Van, Burning Spear, Jimmy Cliff, Anoushka Shankar, Ry Cooder, Taj Mahal

The Kronos Quartet, Toots and the Maytals, Australian Pink Floyd.

Baka Beyond, Youssou N'Dour, Speed Caravan, The Apples.

Tinariwen would be top of my list. For the 30th festival, may be able to lure back some stars who performed at early ones if still around?

Hugh Masekela would be good, Victor Deme (as I missed him in 2009), Oumou Sangare again (a favourite of ours), Seun Kuti, Laura Marling, Peatbog Faeries, Port Isaac's Fisherman's Friends, PG, and I would love to see the Drummers of Burundi again - thought they were an amazing opener last year.

Kimmo Pohjonen - Finnish composer/innovator and the so-called 'Jimi Hendrix of the accordion'
This man has been exciting and amazing audiences in Northern and Eastern Europe for years. 2012 would be the ideal time for WOMADers to see/hear what he is all about
His chamber piece 'Uniko' has been high on the World Music chart for months but that is just one of his many projects. He is also a major crowd-pleaser who can deliver high-energy machine music on the big stage.

First thoughts...
