Ok WOMAD what's up with the Arena toilets this year?
Thought you got it just about right last year with urinals taking the pressure off the loos in most areas so the ladies toileting experience was quicker and less likely for there to be splash hazards........? Now we get just two sets of urinals right by entrance gates without screens around them
Now I'm not shy and I did use them, but judging by the number of blokes queuing for the next door loos rather than the urinals it must have put some off - a step backwards this time - can we have them back next year please?

Two lots of urinals at good locations - much needed, on many occasions - a great invention!

But Mabilica there were a lot more last year...........

The real definition of "public" toilets!

Urinals near the OA stage, not half a mile away near the fairground.

I don't think we need screens: FFS, it's a festival, and it's handy to have something near the bar for a quick slash. In fact, wouldn't it be handy too to have some Pee Mate or She Wee dispensers nearby for adventurous urinators of the feminine persuasion?
The ground around the pissoir located close to theBig Red Tent got a bit boggy: maybe some duckboards, or perhaps some sand and straw, could be deployed in order to keep toes dry next year.

I was fascinated with the very public peeing and thought the men very brave!

I wouldn't pee in the street and I'm not going to start peeing in public at a festival either. What was wrong with the arrangements from previous years where they were located round the back of the blocks of toilets? I suspect that their positioning/open aspect was not what Womad contracted for when they bought in the the service from the contractors.

Haha...this is a funny thread!

I'm not quite sure what my 10 year old daughter thought when I had to explain what the urinals were for....! :-O
