We took the long way to get here so we could do a walk in Glenkin which has a number Henry Moore sculptures.

And we have a wonderful see view from our room (it's the one with the duck in the window)
and we got here just in time to walk down to harbour and get a bite to eat whilst watching the sun set.
Gordy and Maggie met Rodger the Red Kite when we were in Glenkin and they told us he seemed to have a bit a welsh accent but was very friend and he told them about some good hunting spots and we noticed they were tucking into some rabbit this evening.
Anyway time for bed.

There may not be many street parties north of the border but there are plenty of building with bunting on them and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves.
Hazy sunshine from most the day but is now getting more overcast
This morning we climbed the light house at the mull of Galloway (and got a certificate to prove it) we could just make out the Isle of Man but not Ireland or the Cambrian hills. We then visited the Logan Botanical Garden which was a lovely and peaceful.
In the afternoon we headed back to Portpatrick and enjoyed a round on the putting green (Del sinking a hole in one on his way to a resounding victory). Then a walk along the coast south of Portpatrick passing a ruined castle, large campsite and lots of coves and rocky beaches. Then back to Portpatrick via single track roads and the dismantled railway line.
We are not resting our weary limbs with a glass wine to help our mussels relax.
Hortense in a bikini? The mind boggles and it would mean a lot of sun block too.
