  Excitied, but will record (past my bedtime) and save it to listen to with the rest of the 2011 Womad recordings from World on 3 and World Routes; much better than Christmas telly (apart from Dr Who, of course!)

  Hello Standing Stone - what in exotic, sunny Cornwall? Actually it has been sleet/hailing - we're trying to get our money back as the brochure distinctly did not mention snow! That other county next to us has had some white stuff apparently.
  Christmas TV - urggh- if it stops raining we hope to be out walking. Well not ALL Christmas obviously!
  I hear from a friend a rumour that Tinariwen is touring next year - might that mean WOMAD. Please......

  I never understood the appeal of Tinariwen - one or two tracks is ok and then it all sounds the same to me. . . 2nd only on my list of things not to hear after Daara J. . .

  . . . Sunday night syndrome is sometimes tricky - that point where you're looking for your final dose of womad for the year, but there's only one or two acts playing. . . both stages are over crowded because there's nothing else left to see and you know it's just not going to happen.. . . the real ale tent has run out of Gem and you've all but run out of money. . . one final sleepless night and the dismal packing and carrying of all that terrible camping gear is all that remains.. . .

  Can't wait for next year though!!
