Dont think cricket is in the Olympics yet

Del doesn't know why but each time he has tapped the shoulder of a tall person who had chosen to stand in front of the not so tall Cal, may be it's the crazed smile, Scottish accent, the hard stare (the one Gordy taught him), the slight whiff of single malt or the fact he been call "big man" by strangers since he was in his late teens.
whatever the reason he's ways polite and had never need a bat or any other nocturnal mammals.
Anyway back to the Olympics at WOMAD, we not fussed.

and as was agreed some time back, I'm pretty sure that the Olympics will have screens showing Womad so it only seems fair to help them out in turn.

So Del is a single malt man...top man.. I think I may be having too much of it tonight (Mrs SC has gone to Paris with girl friends). The abandoned husbands are getting together tonight.......Slow day again tomorrow.

S.C. we need to start a "We want a some Single Malt at the WOMAD bars thread" last year I did manage to find a blend malt on sale but it not the same.
(hip flasks may be deployed at this year WOMAD)
Cal shares you pain Purpledawn

Because of the "No Glass" rule I had to decant my 15yr Glenfiddich into our water carrier at Glastonbury entrance. Did make it look like someone had used the water carrier as a toilet, but one has to make do, good night last night with a splendid range of whiskys. Being a Music Fest perhaps the Whisky thread could link in with the music theme. The Doors - Alabama Song (Whisky bar).
"Well, show me the way,
To the next whisky bar
Oh, don't ask why
Oh, don't ask why
Show me the way
To the next whisky bar
Oh, don't ask why
Oh, don't ask why
For if we don't find
The next whisky bar
I tell you we must die
I tell you we must die
I tell you, I tell you
I tell you we must die
Oh, moon of Alabama
We now must say goodbye
We've lost our good old mama
And must have whisky, oh, you know why

havn't heard that song in a while
2007 we went to the first connect festival in Inverary (first time we saw Seasick Steve and Bjork was playing) and the Loch Fyne Whisky shop ( http://www.lfw.co.uk/ ) had a tent of it's own
Del like to chase a nice real ale with single malt so he's planning on doing some research on which malt to take to WOMAD but so far Bladnoch is tickling his fancy right now (it's a hidden gem and well worth tracking down)

I'm going to stand next to "Big Man" Del.
I'll bring a hip flask.
