With the Early Birds fast approaching and the decision having been taken by us that the long trek between car and eventual tent site is too much for us oldies, I wondered whether there were any advantages or disadvantages between the two Park & Camp areas?
Does anyone have any opinions?
I really want to have the energy left for the......

Meadow Park & Camp
if possible arrive earliy on the Thursday so you can park near the gates and the money you save can be use to good use in the real ale tent
or may be you get borrow a campervan?

At the moment I can only aspire to be a campervan owner and don't know anyone who has one to lend, but I feel it is the way forward. Isn't the Meadow quite a way from the main arena?

not really and it does depend on where you pitch your tent
have you thought about Glamping?
we're thought about it as it would take out a lot of hassle especially if we are combining WOMAD with a a long holiday as 3/4 of our car is taken up with camping stuff

Mmmm....glamping, not sure about that. I love my tent too much I think and then there is the extra cost. I'd better make my mind up pretty quickly! It's not fair that I get more creaky every year!!

lol
happen's to us all ;o)

Jax2000, just to say it is great that you'll be doing the full Womad next year - we did a lot of DaNcInG aNd JuMpInG fOr JoY aNd

Ah Standing Stone, how lovely!
I did look at the web cam as much as work would allow but didn't catch anyone DaNcInG aNd JuMpInG fOr JoY aNd WoMaDtAsTiC WoMaDnEsS. I would have loved to have seen it as I felt very lost and alone on the forum after you had all gone!
I missed the full 4 day experience so much and being there for the Saturday just wasn't enough!
Luckily my other half was agreeable to us coming for the duration next year.
I think we shall go for the ordinary Park & Camp area as it looked to be nearer the main arena last year.

Hi, I am planning to bring my children aged 4 and 6.
We have a big tent and need to have the car nearby. I am considering Meadow Park, and I don't mind if it's a 15 min walk. I'd rather have a longer walk if it is a nicer camping space?
Who stayed in Meadow last time? What did you think?

get there early on Thursday and you should a park near the entrance and then have your pick of the camp site
