A blisteringly funky approach to dub wizardry and an absolute delight to catch live, Zion Train have a powerful live presence that has proved elusive on their recent 'Homegrown Fantasy' CD on China records. Stalwarts of the Free State of Underground Britain, they are on a mission to rid us of stupid laws and the bigots who make them. The anger that smoulders inside, however, is channelled into positivity and upbeat grooves that come from the same part of the musical mind as ska, but without being caught in the snare of retrospection.
