Wasel Safwan

From United Arab Emirates

Wasel Safwan grew up in Al Ain city in the Al Muajei district, United Arab Emirates. His artwork is influenced by his study of architecture creating an emerging style that is clearer and sharper through the inclusion of broken lines and geometries. He enjoys composing sharp contrasting volumes, shapes and colours on a large canvas and three-dimensional objects.

He has travelled around the world, experiencing a range of different cultures, and producing artworks during his stays in places as diverse as Ostrava, Prague, Makkah, Madinah, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Melaka, and the Cameron Highlands. Wasel's personal philosophy on art is, "Art was born from a respect for humanity; its colours to correspond to different tongues in different conditions at the same time."
