De Soto

De Soto's Esperando el Sol is the solo project of Patricio De Soto, a musician, singer and songwriter from Gran Canaria. This is project encompasses a wide range of pop and rock sounds with which De Soto, the former leader of several successful bands from the Canaries (Jezhabel, Señor X and Carne Cruda), embraces other styles and musical genres.

Esperando el sol (ES3 Records, 2008) is his first release and has proved a creative exercise for a songwriter with rock roots who, after years of continual touring, has found his place in the simpler side of music. A CD with 10 tracks featuring producer Manolo Guerra, recorded at Duke's and Wass Studios in Gran Canaria, and mastered by Aitor Carrasquedo at Estudios Aeroson, Gipúzcoa. With this album, De Soto extends his musical horizons and is serene and focused. His work has acquired a panoramic dimension, which it lacked in the past. This is a new side to De Soto and one that I am sure you'll thoroughly enjoy.
